Here you are encouraged to walk within the rooms of this 700-year-old pueblo, climb ladders into the upper stories and see the utensils, pottery and furnishings that were a part of life.
Globe, Arizona 85501 The Old Dominion Mine began operating in the area in the late 1800's, with underground mining, crushing, milling, and smelting. Tailings remnants, the slag heap and foundations of some of the operations remain today.
The real charm of this wonderful community is that one can stand on any street and actually feel the history. The structures built during the Golden Age are still standing. The walking tour of historic downtown Globe takes you past more than 25 historic buildings that were built between 1870 and 1920.
