General Information

Wendover is located on the Utah/Nevada border, 120 miles west of Salt Lake City, on the edge of the Bonneville Salt Flats. The Super 8 Motel is located on the west end of Wendover, just off of I-80 on exit 410. The Super 8 is physically connected with the Red Garter Casino.

Bonneville Raceway/Salt Flats

5 miles east of Wendover. Wendover, UT 84083 Open all year Salt Flats are square miles of white salt. National land speed races are held in August of each year. Silver Island mountain self tour is open in June and is weather pending. From this tour you can see Floating Island, and many abandoned mines.

Wendover Airport & Musuem

The Enola Gay which dropped the atomic bomb nicknamed "Little Boy" on Hiroshima, Japan, was stored here in the Enola Gay Hanger. The Enola Gay Hanger is now the musuem. The airbase is currently unactive.
