Nordegg Mine Site(403) 721-2625 Located 96 kms east of Rocky Mountain House. Hours of Operation: 9am-5pm Mon-Sun May 10th to Sept. 28th 2003 Nordegg was recognized this year as one of the newest National Historic Sites in Canada. Scheduled visitor and technical tours are held daily providing guests with a thrilling look into the historical background and human-interest stories of the mine.
Rocky Mountain House Historical SiteLocated 7 kms west of Rocky Mountain House on Highway 11A. Hours of Operation: 10am-6pm Mon-Sun. This 500-acre site protects the locations of a series of Hudson's Bay Company and Northwest Company trading posts built and operated between 1799 and 1875. An amazing display of the world as it was in the day's when fur-trading was the biggest business in Canada.
