NC RTP HOTELS MAP - Completed February 2006

What began with a map of NC RTP HOTELS, has blossomed into mapping of all NC HOTELS from the Outer Banks to Cherokee, from Virginia Beach to Myrtle Beach to Charleston SC, Hilton Head Island, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Daytona Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Houston Hotels, Galveston TX Hotels, Las Vegas Hotels, San Francisco Bay Hotels, La Jolla, California Speedway, and inland to Wisconsin. For a directory of every hotels map, please see the Hotels Map Index.

NC RTP HOTELS MAP - The area of NC RTP is also known as the NC Triangle. RTP is the abbreviations for Research Triangle Park. RTP is the most industrialized area of North Carolina. It is an area halfway between the state capital of Raleigh and Durham. The two cities combined are known throughout the country as Raleigh-Durham. RTP is located near to the RDU airport. Towns which are smack dab in the thick of the RTP are Morrisville NC and Cary NC.

Local Joke for New Arrivals: Cary is jokingly referred to as Containment Area for Relocated Yankees. Actually, it is pretty close to being true. There are probably more people in CARY who moved here from the north in search of employment opportunities than any other city in North Carolina.

Cities found on the NC RTP Hotels map include:

  • Raleigh NC
  • Durham NC
  • Chapel Hill NC
  • Cary NC
  • Apex NC
  • Creedmore NC
  • Garner NC
  • Oxford NC
  • Knightdale NC
  • Youngstown NC

CHARLOTTE NC HOTELS - Charlotte is the largest city in North Carolina. It is called the Queen City. For NASCAR fans, there is a hotel map of nearby Lowes Motor Speedway Hotels Map, which  shows hotels closest to the track. However, it also shows where hotels are located throughout the city. Attractions which are highlighted include Lowes Motor Speedway, Ericsson Stadium, where the Carolina Panthers play, and Charlotte Coliseum, home to the biggest concerts in North Carolina. Places which are not highlighted, but easy to find, include Charlotte International Airport, and Carowinds, a popular theme park located southwest of Charlotte, south of Charlotte, close to Rock Hill South Carolina. Finding your way around Charlotte can be a bit difficult without a map. The best blues club in the city has traditionally been the Double Door. It has a great view of the Charlotte skyline and Ericsson Stadium.

The map creator currently lives in Wake Forest, NC, just north of Raleigh, and lived in Charlotte NC from 1997 - 1999, in the Independence Blvd area.
