Charlotte is the home of NASCAR and the Carolina Panthers and has a major banking industry.

Comments: I used to live in Charlotte. This is a fairly large city, with lots to do. It can be difficult to find your way around, so finding hotels closest to where you plan to visit is helpful, especially with rising gasoline prices. Uptown Charlotte is the center of most of the nightlife. I found a couple of clubs in the downtown area that have live blues music. Charlotte has a large variety of live music. During the summer there are huge block party festivals with live music on the weekends.
